Itineraries

Discover Lake Como from the most beautiful perspective: the water. With our boats you can freely explore the most spectacular corners of the lake, following your own pace and curiosity. We have selected three recommended itineraries to help you plan the perfect day.

Tour 1 – The Upper Lake: nature, silence and Romanesque history

Recommended duration: 1-2 hours | Difficulty: easy | Departure: Pianello del Lario or Dorio

The Upper Lake Como is one of the least known and most authentic areas of the lake and for this very reason, one of the most beautiful to explore by boat.

Sailing towards Lake Piona, the waters become calm and crystal clear, reflecting the green of the surrounding hills. Switch off the engine in the middle of the bay and let yourself be wrapped in silence: a rare feeling that belongs only to those who experience the lake from its surface.

Heading towards Gravedona, every bend reveals unforgettable views. The cathedral of Santa Maria del Tiglio and the medieval baptistery seem to emerge directly from the water. Seen from the boat, their architectural details take on a unique perspective, impossible to appreciate from land. There is no need to stop, no need to go ashore: it is precisely by looking at Gravedona from the open water, with its pastel-coloured houses and its neat lakefront promenade, that one perceives the perfect harmony between nature and history.

A short but intense itinerary, perfect for those seeking authenticity away from the crowds.

Tour 2 – Villas, Comacina Island and Bellagio: the heart of Lake Como

Recommended duration: 4-6 hours | Difficulty: easy | Departure: Pianello del Lario or Dorio

This is the itinerary that every visitor should experience at least once in their lifetime and the boat is the best way to live it.

Sailing south along the western shore, the castle of Rezzonico appears like a medieval sentinel mirrored in the lake. Shortly after, the centre of the lake opens up with its legendary villas: Villa Carlotta, with its botanical garden gracefully descending to the water, and Villa Balbianello, elegant and scenic, which from the boat takes on an even more poetic atmosphere. This is the point where architectural beauty meets the landscape in perfect balance. A world-famous film location, seen from the lake it becomes something even more magical.

Comacina Island deserves a slow circumnavigation: the only island on Lake Como, its green contours, ancient houses and small chapel tell centuries of history in just a few minutes of navigation.

Crossing to the eastern shore, Bellagio reveals itself in its full beauty: the promontory dividing the two branches of the lake shines with a special light, while Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni create a picture of timeless elegance.

A little further north, the village of Varenna climbs up the rock and from the water seems almost unreal in its beauty. On the way back, Corenno Plinio completes the picture: a medieval gem that from the lake looks like a miniature castle, perfectly set into the mountain.

Tour 3 – From North to South: the great crossing of Lake Como

Recommended duration: full day | Difficulty: easy | Departure: Pianello del Lario or Dorio

For those who want to experience Lake Como in all its grandeur, this is the ultimate itinerary. A full day on the water, from the heart of the Upper Lake to the city of Como and back.

After completing Tour 2, the lake changes character: more elegant, more urban, with villages suspended between water and mountain. Moltrasio welcomes you with its villas set in gardens and staircases reaching down to the water. Torno surprises with its triangle of colourful houses and rooftops that from the water appears luminous, almost fragile.

Along the way you will notice historic villas and private residences that reveal the most elegant soul of the lake, some famous, others fascinating in their discretion. Among these, the celebrated villa of George Clooney in Laglio, which from the boat becomes a wonderful scenic backdrop, framed by greenery.

Approaching Como, the city opens up like a natural amphitheatre: the Cathedral, the liberty-style palaces, the animated lakefront promenade, all seen from the privileged perspective of the water, where the light seems to amplify the colours.

The return journey is a visual crescendo: changing lights, lengthening shadows, mountains turning pink at sunset. You will rediscover the villas, the picturesque villages, the rocky headlands that seem to reach for the sky. A finale that makes this day simply unforgettable.
